I like good stories, that’s why I always try to find the pearls between the moving images all around us. A few years ago I discovered the film Mary and Max.
Mary and Max is a film written and directed by Adam Elliot created using stop motion and clay in Australia. Mary is a girl who starts to communicate by sending letters to Max (Philip Seymour Hoffman). They tell each other about their lives and experiences. The story portrays the beauty of loneliness, love, hope and friendship.
As you know I’ve always kept animation at a distance but if you want to see some stop motion claymation masterpiece you need to see Mary and Max.
