“Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime; and every kindness we birth our future”
Once in a while, you see a movie which let feel like you are born again. Cloud Atlas is one of those movies. I went to see it in the theater because I got the feeling this was going to be a mind blowing moving image. Cloud Atlas is directed by The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer (The directors of the Matrix and Lola Rennt).
Where is it about? Love, birth, dead, life. It’s about humans; 6 narratives, 6 genres, 6 different times. Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Doona Bae and many more. Beautiful. Truly astonishing and a really rewarding 179 minutes of film. A half-finished book is a half-finished love affair.
All boundaries are conventions.
