Fes­ti­vals are places where you can dis­cover new music, meet inter­est­ing peo­ple and gain new insights about cul­tural hap­pen­ings around the globe. We are always on the look­out for fun and attrac­tive fes­ti­vals in places that are filled with an atmos­phere of unre­strained joy, togeth­er­ness and enter­tain­ment. Because of our pas­sion and love for fes­ti­vals, we are started to develop Fest­col­lect — an plat­form for lovers of film, art and music fes­ti­vals.

For this project, we will be work­ing together with Felix Kops. Felix is cre­ative direc­tor at CCCP an adver­tise­ment and film pro­duc­tion com­pany located in Rot­ter­dam. Besides work­ing for CCCP, he also orga­nizes dub­step events, called DUBSHOP.

Felix orig­i­nally pitched the idea to us. He wanted to cre­ate an online plat­form, where fes­ti­val lovers could find all the infor­ma­tion they want about all fes­ti­vals in the world. Soon after, we began to develop this idea into a con­cept; Fest­col­lect — an online per­sonal plat­form where you can find all types of film, art and music fes­ti­vals and you receive the lat­est updates about your favorite festivals.

We have designed the user inter­face for Fest­col­lect to make it as intu­itive as possible.

To make this fes­ti­val expe­ri­ence avail­able to every­one, wher­ever they are, we plan to release Fest­col­lect on mul­ti­ple (mobile) devices. The devel­op­ment of the Fest­col­lect web­site, iPhone app and mar­ket­ing are costly and we can’t do it alone. To give every­one a chance to sup­port us we started a crowd­fund­ing cam­paign on indiegogo to raise $25,000 dol­lar. If we reached the $25,000 dol­lar we hope to launch Fest­col­lect as soon as the begin­ning of Sum­mer 2012.
